**Courtesy Post** 12/13/12 UPDATE from foster mom: I would like to add an update on Aether. He is doing great in the crate now as long as there is another dog in the room so we have had zero trouble out of him as far as separation anxiety goes. For that reason it is important to me that he goes to a home with another dog but preferably not a tiny dog (we have a 8 lb dog and he thinks its a toy). He has really opened up a lot and I think he would do wonderfully with anyone who is an experienced dog owner. He has had 3 accidents in the last month 2 were marking and one was my fault because he apparently really had to pee so I'd say he's doing great. We have now had him for about 2 months and he is a completely normal dog, he knows the rules and has accepted that we will come home everyday. SO my point is that he's really coming along and shouldn't be as much trouble for a prospective new home. Meet Aether, an albino doberman. He is about a year and a half old and 70 lbs but he still needs to gain a few pounds. He's really sweet and has the most wonderful loving personality. He seems to be pretty housetrained and the only trouble we have had in that area is marking in the house but we have had him neutered and that seems to have made a huge difference already. He doesn't know ANY commands but we are working on sit. He has trust issues so he shuts down easily and will put his head down and avoid eye contact. He also has severe separation anxiety which means when you leave him he will destroy anything in his path trying to escape. I have been using a suped up crate that barely contains him and he is a bloody mess everyday when I get home. I have tried sedating him when I leave but it doesn't seem to help any.
